On of the weekend, one of the teaching assistants asked me to play ‘Happy Birthday’ for a student in the class. Ease of access, is one of the reasons I have all of the songs I use in class organised into a YouTube playlist. Therefore, it was very easy to quickly bring up the appropriate song, without needing to type keywords into YouTube’s search feature, and scroll through endless results to find the song I was looking for.
I use the above version of the ‘Happy Birthday’ song because the language is simple, making it easy for all of the children to join in without the need for any pre-teaching or practicing language.
