One of the projects I’ve been working on, is an English learning passport. The idea was to use it in class as a way of reviewing vocabulary and another way to engage children with learning. I’m thinking that ultimately, I might put stickers or stamps in it.

I know that children love stickers and stamps, however, I don’t use them for ‘classroom management’ as a reward system. The long-term consequences of that system for children are well researched and documented in dozens of studies, spanning several decades. I’ve found that the quality of the relationship I have with the children is far more impactful than any classroom management technique or tool.

If you’re interested, you can find a few ready-made learning passports for free online, like this one.
