Slam! is an easy to prepare and fun EFL kindergarten game for speaking practice. You either cut up a sheet of mini-flash cards, or keep the sheet intact and supply one to each group of 3 students who are sitting in a circle. One student acts as ‘teacher’ and calls out a vocabulary item. The first of the other two students to hit the correct mini flash card is the new teacher. Its a very quick game, that turns over many times. As the students play, the teacher can rove and monitor, even join in, if they wish.
You can make a Slam! sheet online here, design your own, or just use a sheet of mini flash cards. If I’m in a rush, I sometimes just print out a few mini flash card sheets to play this game… its that easy a game to prepare.
