Yesterday, I discussed some of the reasons many phonics songs you might find online aren’t so great for learning phonics. One of the series of songs that I prefer comes from none other than Super Simple Songs.

I’m pretty sure, almost every Kindergarten English teacher in existence has given thanks for Super Simple Songs at some time or another. With their catchy tunes, simple lyrics, awesome animation and easy-to-learn TPR actions, Super Simple Songs are at the top of most Kindergarten English teacher’s lists of favourite songs.

Like many products that are well-made, it is very easy to not see the level of care and attention to detail that has gone into their creation. What I love about the Super Simple phonics songs is that they took the time to produce the letter sounds in a way that makes it easy for kids to learn phonics. Here’s a sample video from their phonics series. (You can find all of their phonics videos on the Super Simple Songs YouTube channel.)

Tomorrow, I’ll share with you my favourite phonics videos.
