If you look more closely at some of the most recent student books for teaching English to very young learners, you’ll notice something: they incorporate diversity. You can do this, too. Next time you use graphics to create a worksheet, a flash card, or a presentation, consider using an image of a child of a different ethnicity, color, body shape, wearing glasses, or even seated in a wheelchair.
