While I’m a big believer in tailoring my lesson plans to what’s most needed for where my students are currently at in terms of their understanding and ability, there is a handy shortcut a fellow teacher taught me.
Where the classes you’re teaching that day are of a similar level (for example, Kindergarten 2 and Kindergarten 3), if you’re pushed for time, you can often actually use the same lesson plan with your different classes. Sometimes you may only need to make very minor changes to the lesson plan.
Using the same lesson plan, is something I like to do occasionally, just to remind myself that it is possible.
