Continuing this week’s zoo and wild animals theme, today’s resource is a font, and an idea.
For each of my teaching themes, I’m going to custom make many of my resources. While that’s a time-consuming process, what has surprised me is the availability of low-cost and free tools that are available online to make quality teaching materials.
For the wild animal unit presentations, one of the fonts I’m going to use is this free African font. You can find lots more free fonts at that website. Fonts are really easy to download and install, so there’s no reason not to spruce up your work with custom fonts.
I have another beautiful Safari font I want to use for alphabet letters, but it comes as a part of a subscription deal.
My plan is to use these fonts for PowerPoint presentations, and possibly for a safari role play. (You can find free jungle animal masks suitable for a role play here, and there are other online sources (like Teachers Pay Teachers) where you can buy inexpensive masks.)
